From Our Grant Recipients

Dwight Jeffrey

In October '24, I learned that my ocular melanoma had spread to my liver. I made a rushed decision to have surgery the day before Thanksgiving, and the anticipated three-to-four-week recovery period didn’t end. By February 2025, I had to face the fact that I wasn’t going back to work anytime soon.

With no income except Social Security, we had decided to drive up to Philly for treatment instead of flying.  It was a two-day drive, completely overwhelming, and we were exhausted for days afterward. We didn't know how we would really make it except for our strong faith in God and Jesus Christ

Then my angel appeared – the Eye on Grace Foundation. Ashley told me about her journey with this disease and said, “I can help.” Eye on Grace has covered many travel expenses for my wife Kim and me.

I was absolutely blown away by the news, because how do I deserve this? Ashley said, “It's God's blessing.”

My friends wondered how in the world we would pay for the travel required for my treatment. I tell them our God has made it happen through the Eye on Grace Foundation, and I feel I'm the most blessed person alive!
