Funding a Cure & Community

Each year, we donate 25% of the proceeds from our May Eye Patch Challenge to research projects focused on curing ocular melanoma.
This year, the Eye on Grace Foundation received a substantial donation from Cathy Shavell, Trustee of the Walt M. Shavell Trust, designated specifically for research. We matched it ... doubling our giving power! In August, Eye on Grace made a $100,000 donation to UPMC Hillman Cancer Center to support Dr. Kammula's work with TIL therapy for solid tumors, including ocular melanoma.

We also donated $4,000 to support travel grants for ocular melanoma patients to attend the A Cure in Sight Eye Believe Survivorship Seminar happening October 1 - 3 in Dallas, TX. The weekend brings together survivors, caregivers, and experts for connection, education, and inspiration - it's an event we're proud to champion!
